Q. Do you allow local pickup? Are your items available for purchase in person?
Q. When will my item ship?
Most orders leave our office within 3 business days, often sooner. Please remember that this is basically a one person show - and I am a mom first. I do my best to get orders out as fast as possible but there is no one to package orders for me if I am handling a sick kid. Some orders do take a few days longer to ship. Items that ship directly from the manufacturer ship on their time frame and we can not control that.
Q. How much is shipping?
A. All orders ship for $5.95 in the continental US. This is far less than our average postal cost per order. Due to increased costs for shipping and fuel costs to transport items to the post office, we no longer offer free shipping. We are happy to ship to Alaska and Hawaii and will contact you if the shipping cost will be higher than our flat rate ($5.95). We usually only need to increase shipping costs for larger or heavier items such as cosleepers and or large orders of prefolds.
International orders will be shipped AT THE BUYER'S RISK. We will contact you with exact shipping charges before shipping your order.
We can not ship Bummis, Rumparooz, Econobum, Flip or BumGenius items outside the US due to manufacturer's agreements. We can not ship Thirsties items to Finland. Orders that violate this policy will be refunded.
In order to maintain our low shipping price, we ship items the most cost-effective way possible. Usually this is either Priority Mail, USPS Parcel Post or UPS Ground. If it is important that an item arrive quickly, email us to let us know and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.
Q. How do I get started with cloth diapers?
A. There is a wealth of information in our articles section. You'll find out how many diapers you need, how to wash them and even how to fold a prefold or flat diaper. Cloth diapering is easy - but the wealth of information and conflicting opinions on the internet can be confusing. We are always happy to answer questions.
Q. Do you offer a layaway program?
A. Yes, you click here for the details of our layaway program. We have many great customers who take advantage of our cloth diaper layaway option and our newborn cloth diaper rental and cloth diaper trial options.
Q. What is your return policy?
Most items can be returned within 14 days of receipt as long as they are returned to me in UNWASHED and UNUSED condition. To be eligible for a refund, please email me as soon as possible to let me know you would like to return the item. Returned items must be in new condition with packaging intact and all tags still attached, any pieces or parts with the item, and I must received it back within 14 days.
If you use or wash an item it is yours forever unless it is specifically part of a trial or rental program. I will be happy to recommend places to sell used items but I can not accept any item for return once it has been washed. The ONLY exception is for manufacturer's defects.
For safety reasons there are NO RETURNS on soaps or cosmetics, herbs, cloth pads, washed diapers or anything edible.
If an item is found to be defective within 30 days of purchase it will be repaired, replaced or refunded at my discretion. Many manufacturers have a longer warranty period.
